Travel insurance for foreign guests from visa compulsory countries
- The insurance coverage fulfills all requirements of the ‘ENTSCHEIDUNG DES RATES DER EUROPÄISCHEN UNION’ vom 22.12.2003 (2004/17/EG) for issuing of a Schengen visa.
- The travel health insurance and the travel accident and liability insurance are separate legal contracts
- The applications have to be placed within 31 days after entry into Germany, the countries of the European Union, as well as Switzerland and Liechtenstein and will end with the date stated in the insurance policy, latest after 365 days
- The insurance coverage is to be signed for the complete duration of the stay
- The insurance coverage starts for every insurance with the date stated in the insurance policy, but not before entry and earliest with the day the application is received by Hanse Merkur
- Condition for the insurance coverage is the contractual premium payment
- Insurance coverage is also guaranteed by paying of premiums after insurance contract begins
- Insurances can be taken out up to the age of 75 (75th birthday)
- Extensions within the maximum insurance duration are possible after approval by Hanse Merkur
- The maximum insurance duration is 365 days
- Has the entry date not yet been fixed, then the assumed date is to be stated and the actual entry resp. departure date is to be confirmed in writing to Hanse Merkur within 31 days after entry
- On application the contract can prematurely be terminated for the date of departure, premiums paid in excess will be refunded
- Hanse Merkur issues special insurance certificates
